ABOUT FASHION TECH WEEK TOKYO Fashion Tech Week (FTW) officially started in October 2019 as a two day event bringing together the creative fields of fashion, technology, music, and art. The initial phase of the project’s development was to create comradery between local communities in Tokyo that normally would not find themselves in the same creative space. The second and current phase of FTW has been designed to push for more quality-focused output in order to raise the bar within the community to deliver more polished and community driven work. Moving forward, FTW is excited to build more collaborative pieces that integrate fashion and technology into products where the lines between both genres continues to be blurred. FTW is designed to cater to emerging, multifaceted creators that need more opportunities to showcase their work, improve their craft, and develop their professional skills and networks. FTW is a product under ON-1, Inc., a community-based content production studio, and represents one project aimed at revamping Tokyo’s Creative Economy for global-minded talent.
In regards to postponing the main FTWAW20 event
In response to COVID-19 we will be acting with a sense of responsibility in reflection of the official announcements by the government to reduce large gatherings. We will postpone the main Fashion Tech Week (FTW) event until a later date.
