There will be a post-screening discussion with featured filmmakers Adar Ng and Kray Chen.The Believers is a film about witnessing religious and everyday rituals. It explores the convergences between the secular and spiritual, the ceremonial and the banal. Through five ‘rehearsals’, visual artist Kray Chen addresses the underlying anxieties and behaviours closely tied to this occasion, rendering the spectacle and grandeur of a wedding into a bittersweet affair.
