Blast Off! is a site-specific roving theatre experience that activates familiar spaces with the power of imagination.A truly immersive and participatory programme, Blast Off! invites young audiences into the Galaxy as Space Explorers.During this trial session, audiences will journey with the characters of Blast Off! to explore The Artground’s current art space, The Curious Sky – Galaxy Edition, allowing them to reimagine and rediscover new possibilities for creative play.As part of the GroundBreakers artist incubation programme, the artists will be testing out ideas with the children and will be seeking feedback from the audience after the session, to further develop this theatrical experience. A refundable deposit of $10 is collected upon registration on Peatix. This deposit will be refunded 24 hours after the event (standard Credit Card refund windows apply). In the event of no-show and cancellation, the deposit will be forfeited. (Do note that non attendance will result in this $10 as a donation to The Artground)
Places are limited to 15 pairs (i.e. 1 child and 1 carer).
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the programme starts. An announcement will be made 5 -10 minutes before the start and you may present your ticket to the front of house staff for entry.
The Artground reserves the right to deny entry to latecomers, or children not within the stipulated age group.
Your slot will automatically be given to the next child if there's no-show by 10 minutes before the show start.
Photos and videos will be taken during the programme for archival, marketing and social media purposes by The Artground only. By registration, you will be be giving photo and video consent.
As this programme is FREE, we urge you to please book considerately; as spots are limited to 15 parent child pairs. By not doing so, you will be depriving another child of the experience and the artists who have gone far and beyond to prepare for this session may end up with too few audiences. If you would like to cancel your slot, please let us know 5 days in advance so we have time to let another parent book it, do note that your deposit will be forfeited.
