Previously known as the Infectious Diseases Hospital and Middleton Hospital, the centre played a key role in the containment of highly contagious diseases. During the Japanese Occupation, the site was known as Densen Byion, where sick people with infectious diseases such as typhoid were treated. This tour is led by Jerome Lim of the blog site The Long and Winding Road, in partnership with SLA.The tour will be at the Former Communicable Disease Centre, 72 Moulmein Road. Tours are only open to participants aged 18 years old and above.
