The Coffee Foundry has been hosting a morning series called, "Founders Friday" where we highlight key players in the tech start up scene and what they are working on.This week we have the pleasure of having Owen Davis come and share his journey. Owen is currently the Managing Director of NYC Seed, a seed stage venture capital fund in New York City.  Owen founded Thinking Media, an online marketing firm and co-founded Sonata, a wireless company that provided location-based services and marketing to cell phones.  Owen also co-founded, Petal Computing, an early cloud computing company.  Owen is the author of various patents in Internet methods and technologies the author of the book Instant Java Applets.   Owen has been named one of the 100 most influential people in Silicon Alley.  He received his bachelor's degree from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.  He is also an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School and has taught seminars at New York University in NYC and Abu Dhabi.
