You're Somebody's Type
Blood Donation Drive
Only 10-15% of people can be blood donors, and if you are in that percentage, it is a tremendous opportunity for you to give someone a second chance at life. It only takes 15 minutes. The opportunity is in your hands; or rather, in your veins.
A single, valid blood donation can save as many as three lives. It is often crucial in times of natural disasters or accidents, medical procedures such as organ transplants, birth deliveries, especially those that experience complications. Despite this, The National Blood Centre often reports a less than sufficient blood supply, particularly during festive seasons, where accidents are more frequent, but blood donations are not.
As Valentine's Day approaches, why not give someone a second chance at life? Join us as we do our part in saving lives, one pint at a time. Healtopedia is partnering with Common Ground, and The National Blood Centre to hold a blood donation drive, open to the public. Details are as follows
