In this AM tour, we will take you to the exhibition of Some no Okoku, Shinjuku (The Kingdom of Dyeing in Shinjuku) to appreciate fabric dyeing demonstrations and masterpieces.Then we will stroll around the Ochiai and Nakai area to find some fabric dyer's shops and even a Japanese martial art studio.After appreciating authentic Japanese dyeing techniques, you will enjoy actual fabric dyeing at Some no Gakko (School of Dyeing).You will enjoy applying some patterns on a piece of handkerchief with paper stencils as well as stamps in the workshop.You can take your dyed cloth with you.(JPY500 is needed to participate in the workshop.) ~ Please note ~*The number of participants in this tour is 5 people (1 reservation slot is only for 1 person).*There will also be Japanese guests in the same tour, so the tour will be held in both English and Japanese languages.*There will be approximately a 30-minute walk in total in this tour.There are some steep slopes and stairs during the tour.*We will not have any responsibilities for any accidents occurred in the event since this tour is operated by volunteers.*By participating in this event, you agree to allow Some no Komichi to photograph you and take videos of you.The photos and the videos of the event may be used on our website or on other kinds of social media or publicity for "Some no Komichi".*For those who want to join the workshop, you may get stained so please wear or bring cloth which can be stained.*Please refrain from smoking during this tour. *Since we can handle a very few guests, please refrain from being “no-show”, coming late, or cancelling after the deadline.
