These coaches are clear about their own values and boundaries—and their clients understand that and respect them. This clarity enhances the interaction between coach and client, because when people understand and respect our boundaries, we have the space to be deeply engaged. And a coach who is conscientious about boundary setting in service of magnifying their engagement is modeling something important for clients. Because clear boundaries are critical for a healthy life.At this interactive workshop, Ms. Gondo, who is an MBTI Master Practitioner, a personality type specialist, and the founder of TypeLAB, will introduce the connection between communication skills, boundary-setting skills and personality type. How easy or difficult is it for you to create psychological safety? How easy or difficult is it for you to set boundaries with your clients around session times or cancellations? This session will demonstrate the connection between personality type and communication and boundaries issues. A heightened awareness of this connection aids both coach and client to build a relationship of trust, and, when the need arises, to discuss boundaries.Ms. Gondo will describe and demonstrate two personality traits: Extraverted Thinking and Extraverted Feeling. Conscious use of Extraverted Thinking will aid you in establishing and managing boundaries and goals, for yourself and with clients. Extraverted Feeling will help you to establish trust and intimacy with clients through appropriate coaching presence and active listening. There will be ample opportunity for experiential learning through coaching and role playing. We invite you to bring your own current coaching agreement for review. Please also come prepared to share examples from your coaching practice of challenges you have faced or think you might face regarding boundaries. This workshop focuses on ICF Core Competencies No. 2  Establishing the Coaching Agreement and No 3 Establishing Trust and Intimacy with the Client. At our meeting, we will:— hear an explanation of Extraverted Feeling (Fe) skills— hear an explanation of Extraverted Thinking (Te) skills — role play while being conscious of Extraverted Feeling — role play while being conscious of Extraverted Thinking— Coach each other with a focus on Core Competencies #2 and #3— Earn essential Continuing Coach Education units The Coaching in English Group is open to any coach or would-be coach of any nationality who uses or wants to use English professionally in their coaching sessions. Activities will be conducted in English.
