Drawing inspiration from bilingual poetry anthology, Sikit-Sikit Lama-Lama Jadi Bukit, this performance features selected poems which seek to (re)discover the sacred relationship between islands, human beings and their environment. Reflecting the subtlety and complexity of life while composing interlocking rhythmic patterns of the (is)land and tones of the sea, don’t miss this one-of-a-kind performance. Mencungkil inspirasi dari antologi puisi Sikit-Sikit Lama-Lama Jadi Bukit, Panggilan Pulau ingin membangkitkan semangat meneroka dan mencetuskan renungan terhadap hubungan murni ini yang menjangkau sempadan dan membina kaitan yang agak sementara. Tema yang diangkat dalam puisi pilihan merupakan gerak balas masyarakat Melayu yang menyuarakan hal-hal penting, suatu perundingan yang organik dan pada masa yang sama, mempertimbangkan masyarakat Singapura yang rencam.
