Ladies Lunch Fundraiser for the devastating NSW South Coast Bushfires
As you would have seen on social media and the news by now the absolute devastation these horrible bush fires have caused for Australia The amount of destruction is simply unfathomable. This is the worst bushfire season Australia has ever seen with over 5 million hectares burnt, 23 lives lost, over 1400 homes and businesses lost over 500 million animals killed and it is still not over.
Our hearts break for the small communities affected on the South Coast - where TA’s family home sits between beautiful Bermagui and Cobargo which most of the town was tragically burnt to the ground on New Year’s Eve. It's absolutely heartbreaking to see images of the town online and all over the news covered in flames, people who have lost everything that they have built for generations in this - completely wiped out and gone. Although the media are portraying that everyone is getting enough support - it simply isn’t true.
The road to recovery for this small but big hearted community is long and can’t even begin until the threat of more fires is gone . They need all the support they can get. We know that other places in Australia were also hit hard and our heart hurts for them, we personally will continue to do all we can to support as many affected people and places as we can but we're hoping we can all come together and do our bit for an unheard of, big hearted town called Cobargo, let them know they are not forgotten about and that we want to support them as much as we can.
