Looking at the influence of art in today's society, the workshop aims to make participants understand the power of art through a brief walkthrough of the history of art and images. With this background, participants will be guided to create images objectively to convince or persuade viewers of their intentions through the photographs taken.Workshop Pre-requisites:Participants must be aged 12 and above.Participants are allowed to use any kind of image capturing device from a DSLR to mobile telephone camera.Participants are required to transfer or email the images for sharing purposes at the workshop.    ‘The Art of Persuasion’ photography workshop is held in conjunction with Lau Eng Seng’s exhibition Till We Meet Again: Rochor Centre, Singapore from January 4-15 2016, part of the series ‘Young Singapore Artists’ at KEEPERS.  About the Artist Lau Eng Seng  is a photographer and artist. Using research-based methodology, his work concentrates on the contemporaneous, with interests in anthropology, sociology and identity. Lau has exhibited widely in Singapore, and also won a second place in the International Photography Awards 2013, Lucie Foundation, USA.  In 2015 his work was included in the Singapore Eye: Contemporary Singapore Art, a compilation of 62 Singapore artists’ works.
