Dear friends, In the U.S., Thanksgiving is celebrated on Thursday 28th November.  In Singapore, we tend to celebrate American Thanksgiving over a couple of week period as and when people are available.  This year, MIT Club would like to hold a community service event on our DUAL Thanksgiving day. PLEASE JOIN US in bringing 35 boys from the Muhammadiyah Welfare Home to the Science Centre. We are looking for volunteers to guide 2 to 3 boys around the Science Centre and befriend them for the day.  Lunch will be at McDonald’s.Venue:     Science Centre Singapore, 15 Science Centre Rd, Singapore 609081Cost:        Complimentary for volunteersContact:   Questions, please contact Ms. Ng HauYee at hauyee.ng@alum.mit.eduMuhammadiyah Welfare Home (MWH) is a children’s’ Home that provides shelter and 24/7 residential care and protection for boys between the ages of 10 and 19 years.  Appointed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and gazetted under the Children and Young Persons Act Cap 38, the boys consist of those who are neglected, abused or homeless; are juvenile offenders and those beyond parental control.
