SIAPA Workshop Series 2 has been extended with Stand Up Comedy Workshop by Shamaine Othman and Physical Theatre Workshop with Helena Foo.STAND-UP COMEDY WORKSOPSharmaine is a full time writer and stand-up comedy happens to be one of her favourite mediums. Join this workshop as she shares with you how to write your material, find your persona and also basic joke structures. Please prepare at least 2 -3 minutes worth of stand-up material for the workshop. For stage, she has written for the BOH Cameronian winning sketch comedy group Projek Disko Baldi, Kam In Your Face 2, and Ola Bola The Musical. She can also be seen doing stand-up comedy in the KL and Singapore comedy circuit and was featured in Comedy Central Asia's special, Stand-up Asia 2. Apart from having been the opening act for international comedians, Gina Yashere and Ronny Chieng, Sharmaine also regularly performs sketch comedy with Projek Disko Baldi and imrpov comedy with AIIA Improv.Helene Foo is a professional theatre director, actor, and writer with 15 years of experience. A former resident director at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre and show creator at Sunway Lost World of Tambum, she now co-runs SIAPA and dabbles in the local theatre scene whenever she can. Her most recent works include VSC Project's DUALITY, Suna Productions' In A Different Light, and Fajar & Senja at Iskarnival 2018, Johor.
