Level up series aims to improve women career progression through soft skills improvement & technical capabilities be it in deep tech or in citizen tech (simpler productivity solutions). The meetups will always consist of two talks: #1 Soft skills, #2 Deep tech / citizen tech (alternate month). This series is a joint effort between Microsoft and Women Who Code KL.   What can I expect from the talk? Chee Yim, our Women Who Code Director will share with you about people & influence: how to understand people and eventually persuade people to say yes? Casandra Seng our Product Marketing Manager for Modern Workplace at Microsoft will share productivity hacks on using Excel. Indeed they are! What's interesting is looking at the social sciences - understanding people (our irrationality) and eventually persuading people to say yes. Being in a startup forces me into the world of persuading people and gradually discover what "right" and responsible sales means. How do you educate with insights and influence but not manipulate? Also learning about decision making, luck and risks along the way... Speaker: Chee Yim Self-proclaimed generalist. Proud founding team member of WWCode KL since 2014. Talk #2 (Citizen tech): Excel for Dummies Need to use Excel for work, but still not sure if you’re making the best use of it? Sit through this hands-on session where you get to experience how to remove time-consuming tasks from your work-day. This session will show you how to use Excel features to manage your data better, create good-looking graphs and analyze data with customized visualization dashboards.
