Shigefumi Yamaura - Sustainability on an organizational levelShigefumi is the CSR Director for H&M Japan and will share the initiatives that H&M have engaged in over the recent years including the clothing recycling that supports our swaps, recycled fabric technology and business model and supply change adjustments. One of the goals of the swap is engage and be involved in all levels of our community and these companies such as H&M provide jobs, reasonably priced fashion and pay rent in our communities! what the swap opes to do is to engage and support the grass-roots ground-level efforts and also take advantage of their recycle service. H&M takes all the clothes away, many tonnes over the years*If you have a specific questions for Shige, please do send them to info@sarahfuruya.com and I will ensure he has well prepared material for you.2. Jane Best - Sustainability on an international levelJane is the Director of RIJ - Refugees International Japan, a company that supports Refugees, onsite and supplies material and monetary support, plus any other requested support for the people in these locations to create programmes that can, from within the community, become self-managed. RIJ does not send people into the projects to manage them, moreover supplies money and support to community leaders to support the refugee community that they live in and are from. Sustainable support is at the heart of RIJ activity and you can find out ways that you can contribute and donate by becoming a friend of RIJ, attending their amazing Bluffs and quizzes and getting tables for their events! Did you know that most refugees would rather be close to home and eventually to return to their home?3.
