The heart comes alive… in The Night Garden A night of classical and fusion magic with bassoonist Jo Anne Sukumaran and friends. “The Night Garden” is the debut concert of Singaporean-based, Swiss-trained bassoon soloist Jo Anne Sukumaran, celebrating the launch of her solo album of the same name recorded in Montesilvano, Italy in 2018. The Night Garden will be an exhilarating journey of discovery that leads you through the dusk, emerging into the light, a safe space for the heart and mind. In a chamber setting, a select classical repertoire from the album features works by Saint-Saëns, Tansman, Koechlin, Albert, Vivaldi, Ronnes and De Falla, as well as eastern inspiration from the Indian classical and modern world, where the atmospheric woodwind of the bassoon melds with tabla, tanpura, hand pan, frame drum, and electric guitar.
