All welcome!ABOUT THE LUMINARIES: EDRIC ONG, Malaysian Designer, Curator & Architect Award-winning Malaysian designer of natural dye textiles, fashion and crafts. Ong is an author, curator and president of a number of prestigious organisations, as well as being a trained architect who has designed several landmarks such as the Sarawak Cultural Village and the Kuching International Airport. His interest in the heritage has inspired him to write extensively on the topic as well as pioneering new textile designs and working with multi-disciplinary Sarawakian artists. His personal designs combine contemporary silhouettes with traditional Borneo motifs. Ong’s work goes beyond just conserving traditional textile practices, by creating something new and inspiring, promoting and encouraging the role of craft in society today.  LINDY JOUBERT, Vice President of the World Craft Council Pacific Asia Region - South Pacific Founding director of the UNESCO Observatory on Multi-Disciplinary Research in the Arts, Joubert is also the Vice President of the World Craft Council Pacific Asia Region. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Melbourne. Her combined interests have resulted in facilitating research and coordinating events and fairs for public engagement in the arts and crafts among multiple communities. She has a number of projects underway with NGOs, government and local communities as well as having led multiple initiatives for arts inclusion in healthcare. Her research goes across various multi-disciplinary fields, such as social welfare, heritage, health and the environment, leading her to manage arts and architecture projects in the Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea, Kenya, Indonesia and beyond - promoting the arts in a multidisciplinary and global context.
