Sustainability
In 2018, 380 million tonnes of plastics were produced globally, with the majority finding its way into landfills or entering the natural environment. As consumers, our usage of single-use plastics contributes to this pollution, with some scientists estimating that by 2050, there will be more plastic than fish, by weight, in our oceans. Clearly, steps have to be taken to reduce the usage of single-use plastics, for the future of our planet.

Their practices include waste reduction, local purchasing, and buying fish from producers with sustainable fishing practices. They offer packaging-free shopping, where customers have to bring their own containers to purchase groceries, minimising the usage of excessive plastic packaging. Join Ms Florence Tay and Mr Jeff Lam, Co-Founders of UnPackt, as they share their insights into the reduction of usage of plastic packaging, and the acceptance of this concept amongst the community.The National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS) was established under the Prime Minister’s Office to develop and implement Singapore's domestic and international policies and strategies to tackle climate change.
