As part of the 2015 Malay Culturefest – Pesta Budaya Melayu, the Singapore Heritage Short Film Competition is pleased to screen its winners and finalists’ films at the Malay Heritage Centre on coming Friday evening.  The evening event is titled Movie Nights @ MHC. The annual Singapore Heritage Short Film Competition aims to nurture audiences and filmmakers to take interest in our cultural heritage and documenting them for the future generations on film. This year's travelling showcase comprises of 8 short films that make up this year's winners and finalists - KUDANG KEPANG: REVIVING THE CULTURE, BENEATH THE SPIKES, WU DE BAN 屋的板, QING MING FESTIVAL: MEMORIES OF BUKIT BROWN, AFTERLIFE ARCHITECTS 纸扎屋, BEYOND THE CHECKMATE 传承, TOOLS OF THE TRADE and I AM EURASIAN.The films are in multiple languages, and subtitled in EnglishFree admission to general public, all are welcome!This screening is organised by the Singapore Film Society and Malay Heritage Centre, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), and The Malay Heritage Foundation, and in celebration of SG50.For more info about the competition, please check out: https://www.facebook.com/sghsfc http://sfs.org.sg/shsfc/
