Historically from an FMCG marketing and e-commerce background, Ria will be talking to us about crossing over to become a founder, moving from employee to entrepreneur and how that changes the way you approach business including marketing, hiring and attracting funding.Ria is originally from Canada and has worked in Asia for almost four years. Ria started her career in marketing for P&G and L'Oreal Canada, then moved to Singapore for Rocket Internet to start Zalora. In July this year, Ria founded AdHero, which aims to remove the headache of social media ad creative and copy design for businesses. Soon to graduate from the inaugural muru-D accelerator program, Ria has a fantastic perspective on the start-up and funding ecosystem here in Singapore as well as the challenges we're all facing to drive success from our social media marketing investments.ABOUT SWIMMA - Singapore Women in Media, Marketing, Advertising A regular invitation only bi-monthly catch up of senior female marketing and media executives with regional responsibility at their companies and / or experienced entrepreneurs.
