The symposium will bring together a panel of international architects and researchers to discuss the rapidly changing nature of digitally controlled fabrication and the influence this is increasingly having on architectural design. Current academic research and architectural design demonstrates that digital design and fabrication tools have become mature and part of everyday practice. This allows the discourse to shift the focus back to fundamental characteristics of physical and material practice. A round table discussion will follow a series of presentations by Fabio Gramazio (Gramazio Kohler / ETH), Tobias Wallisser (LAVA, Stuttgart), Michael Budig (SUTD) and Roland Snooks (Kokkugia, RMIT). Intricate Reifications is co-organised by RMIT University and Singapore University of Technology and Design, supported by the DesignSingapore Council and hosted by the National Design Centre (NDC).
