However, as a result of misinformation and misunderstanding of postpartum depression, many women who are suffering don’t get the information, resources or help they desperately need to get better.Join us for a discussion on postpartum depression and other perinatal mental illnesses to learn more about PPD, its treatment and the stigma surrounding mental health illnesses. The discussion will be led by medical and mental health professionals, as well as mothers who have faced the postpartum depression and are overcoming it.Recognising and destigmatizing mental health and medical issues in women is a step in combatting the normalisation of discrimination against women and is in line with our Help Anna campaign, an initiative to raise awareness about the different types of violence women of all backgrounds are exposed to.
