Dear Sisters,Come November 17, FGB Women Gatekeepers will be having our Hearts on Fire Forum at Hotel Oasia. The theme that the Lord has impressed on our hearts is 'Inter-generational Discipleship' so that we can be sent out as Gatekeepers and Kingdom Ambassadors to be a blessing to our nation. Six Gatekeepers involved in inter-generational discipleship in the Seven Gates will be sharing their testimonies.Why Inter-generational Discipleship?With globalisation, the culture of the populace (in particular younger generation) is exposed to an increasingly secular worldview of moral relativism, radicalism and liberalism. With it brings about various issues that our younger generation will have to deal with eg. media influence on identity, rise of singlehood and the legalisation of same sex marriages. These are some of the many issues confronting our Christian Worldview. Believers must be actively involved in helping to establish the moral leadership and narrative of our city state.The Great Commission mandates us to "make disciples of all the nations" (Matthew 28:19). The gospel has the power to transform lives of not just individuals but the communities, cities and nations. As such, we need to disciple and empower the next generation to transform the culture of our nation so that when Jesus returns we can bring the glory and honour of our nation to Him (Rev 21:26).It is truly a time of the coming together of the generations. This is manifested in the spirit of the Elijah and Elisha partnership. Elijah set the stage as spiritual father and mentor and it was the Elisha generation that destroyed Jezebel (which represented the domination of cultural darkness).Do join us as we explore how nations can be strengthened through inter-generational discipleship.
