Using the highly technical craft of Japanese woodblock, combined with screen printing, linocut and painting, Jennifer produces a visual exploration of history and heritage. 'Peranakan Peony', 2015, edition of 50, Japanese woodblock, 14 x 9 cm.A graduate of the Australian National University, Jennifer holds a combined degree in Visual Arts (Printmaking) & Asian Studies (Japanese). Trained in Japanese woodblock at Kyoto Seika University by the renowned Japanese printmaker Akira Kurosaki, Jennifer was also a summer intern at ‘Karacho’ - an artisan studio hand-printing Japanese decorative papers since 1624 in Kyoto. She has a Diploma of Building Design and Interior Technology from Southbank Institute of Technology, Brisbane.
