You would not walk into Changi Airport one morning and say, "I want to go to Shanghai...how should I get there?" Getting where you want to go means making travel plans within your budget and other constraints. When you add other people, it gets even more complicated -- you need to travel with others who want to go to the same place, and are comfortable with the plans for getting there. The same is true for your startup: your business plan is essential, but finding the right people to make that journey with you, and keeping everyone focused on the goal, takes effort as well. This session will explore a leadership approach to help you grow your team and keep the momentum even when things change.The first part of our session, open to outside participants as well as the muru-D companies, looks at how to figure out your people requirements and turn them into something you can use. We will discuss how to use your business plan to create a leadership plan, how to encourage and incentivize the kinds of value-adding behaviours you think will move your business forward, and how to make course corrections along the way.The second hour, specifically for muru-D companies, explores practical techniques for creating your team and building the momentum to help you get through hard times and take advantage of good times.
