emailing info@thecomedyclub.asia.KRISTEL ZWEERS (NED)Dutch comedian Kristel Zweers kick-started her comedy-career by winning
the second prize in the Dutch Lucky Strike Comedy Talent Tour in 2001.
In the years that follow she performs on about every comedy stage there
is in Holland. As one of the few female comedians she manages to survive
the harsh comedy scene, becomes a regular head-liner and tours Holland
and Belgium with 3 of her own 90 minute solo-shows. In 2004 she was part
of “De Lama’s” the Dutch version of ‘Who’s line is it anyways’. In
2009 a part of her first solo ” Onschuldig” ( Innocent) was broadcasted
on tv. She has made many appearances in different TV shows ever since.
In 2011 she started to focus on Dutch communities abroad and has
performed for them in Singapore, KL, Brunei, Dubai, Portland, Jakarta
and Beijing, Ghanzhou and Shanghai will be added to this list in March
2014. With her moving to Singapore in june 2013 a new challenge arises:
being just as successful with comedy in english. She became 2nd (again)
in the Stand up for Singapore competition only 2 months after arrival so
it seems like she’s been able to find the kick-starter again!
