She did her graduate studies in civil Engineering and worked in Japan for seven years. During those years, Mouna worked for international engineering firms in Tokyo such as Sumitomo Group and took regional management roles for the French Vinci Group in Asia. After gaining extensive experience in engineering, marketing and business development, Mouna ran her own consultancy company for five years. She consulted engineering and technology firms on the design and implementation of infrastructure projects in North Africa. Mouna relocated to Singapore in 2011 and now a mother of two daughters. Mouna is passionate about entrepreneurship, engineering and technology. Seeing more women overcome their challenges and succeed in these fields and in business were her drivers to founding Woomentum. Panelists:Carolyn Soemarjono followed her heart to Singapore in 2003 in pursuit of a romantic relationship with her now husband. And while for eight years she continued to build a successful corporate career, being diagnosed and treated for Ovarian Cancer 2011 led her to reconsider her work options for a more balanced and fulfilling approach. After regaining her health, Carolyn started her own business as a HR consultant to leverage her experiences from the corporate world. However her real passion was photographing people and with a little encouragement from friends and a whole lot of practice she became a professional photographer. Carolyn is the owner and founder of ‘The Boudoir Photographer’ – Singapore’s first and only dedicated Boudoir photography studio. Her experiences in the corporate world, as a consultant and most recently with her own photography business, has taught her many things about career change and the challenges and rewards of being an entrepreneur. Jill Danielson grew up in North Dakota and received her undergrad degree at a Liberal Arts college in Minnesota. She worked for Intel for five years and Sequent, a High Tech Server company later bought by IBM. She moved to Brazil while pregnant with her first child and lived there for 2.5 years. Then she moved to Argentina while pregnant with her second child and lived there for 2.5 years. Jill has lived in Singapore for the past 11 years. She worked for the American Association for two years as the General Manager. The Subway business was growing so fast she left AAS to run Subway full-time. In December, her business opened its first Burrito Boys outlet – a joint venture with an Indian company. Danielle Warner worked in the insurance industry for more than 15 years, six of which were spent in New York with AIG, she founded Expat Insurance in Singapore in 2009 with an aim to educate and assist both corporate and private clients with their unique needs accompanied by superior customer service.Named Young Professional of the Year 2012 at the Annual Business Awards hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce and nominated for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013, Danielle is an active member of the business community in Singapore through the British Chamber of Commerce, PrimeTime Business and Professional Women's Association, American Chamber of Commerce, American Association and the Financial Women’s Association and is a contributor to Straits Times, Maple Leaf Times, Expat Living and the Singapore American Newsletter. Michaela Anchan is the founder of Woolf Works, a community and shared workspace for women, on Joo Chiat Rd, Singapore. Michaela is from New Zealand originally and arrived in Singapore in 2011 via Mumbai, India and South Korea. She has two small children and is passionate about helping women prioritise themselves and their professional goals while raising a family.
