This is 5th Aloha Keiki Ensemble Concert, benefit Fukushima Kids Hawaii, a project of ALOHA KEIKI, 501c3 based in Hawaii.On July 21, 2015, 7 children and 3 adults are coming from Fukushima to Kona, staying one month in Hawaii. In Kona, they are staying at Huehue Ranch for a summer school where they will learn the basic skills of sustainable life, practicing “Farm to Table”, natural healing and BePeace practice. They will learn how to harvest vegetables and fruits, or shop at local farmers markets. We are inviting you to join us for the fundraising event on Aug 9, 2015 at Hawaiian Queen Coffee Garden in Kona. Please bring your friends and family members. August 9th marks 70’th anniversary of Nagasaki atomic bomb (Aug 6th Hiroshima) and it is ironic and alarming that 44% of 300,000 children living in Fukushima have developed thyroid cysts and 120 children have had thyroid cancer (as of January 2015). That is why our mission of helping children in Fukushima has become even more important. In spite of all of the effort we have made over the year, we are short of funding and another $8000 is needed to cover this summer’s program, and also $2000 a month to keep the Fukushima Kids House open for mothers and babies from Fukushima (they get to stay up to 3 month all year round)Every bit helps, and we rely on your support to continue our mission of helping Fukushima children.
