Merryn Trevethan is an practicing Australian artist based in Singapore. She is known for her vibrant and dynamic paintings that explore perception and the urban landscape. Her practice includes drawing, painting and installation and focuses on the uncertainty of perception and the complexity of vision.
In 2005, Merryn completed her Masters of Fine Arts (by Research) at Monash University, Australia. In 2010, she received extensive training from Patti Brady the Head of GOLDEN Artist Colors Working Artist Program and is a Certified GOLDEN Artist Educator. Merryn is a passionate and generous Educator who has taught a variety of workshops and classes in Australia and Singapore for many years. In 2015 she was Artist in Residence for GEMS World Academy and taught workshops for Art Outreach, and Singapore Arts Club in Singapore, in addition to teaching popular workshops at The Art Room in Melbourne. Her workshops specialise in teaching tangible skills and techniques covering a range of topics including Exploring Abstraction, Colour Mixing Masterclasses, Contemporary Painting Techniques, Observational Drawing, Image Transfer Intensive, Monoprinting and more.
