The University of Edinburgh Humanist Society would like to invite you to meet, discuss and act in an environment that is freethinking, progressive and based on Humanist values.

Humanism is a non-religious philosophy based on reason and compassion. It provides the basis for a fulfilling an ethical life (without any supernatural belief).

The Humanist Society aims to establish a positive social environment for University of Edinburgh students who are rationalists, non-theists (agnostics or atheists), humanists, or sceptics; to enrich UoE campus life by sponsoring educational events and fostering student dialogue on matters of faith, science, and reason; as well as to engage students in issues of national and international import surrounding freedom of conscience and secular education.
