REGISTRATION @ Lobby (8:30AM onwards)


The event will start with attendees registering at registration counters at the lobby to get their goodie bags. Along with the goodie bags, attendees will get a detail event itinerary for the day.

WHAT IS KL RASPBERRY JAM?


Raspberry Jam is an event organized by Malaysia Pi Club for Raspberry Pi enthusiast to share knowledge, learn new things, and network. Our speakers will share their knowledge in using Raspberry Pi for projects. There will also be hands-on workshop on Raspberry Pi.



WHAT IS RASPBERRY PI?


Raspberry Pi is a small affordable computer developed and released by the Raspberry Pi Foundation in UK in February 2012 to promote computer education to school children from 6-17 years old in the UK. Due to it's affordable price and rich functionality, worldwide hobbyist and educator communities has adopted Raspberry Pi for their projects and lessons.



WHO SHOULD ATTEND?


  1. Primary and Secondary School students who wants to know how Raspberry Pi were used in university projects
  2. Raspberry Pi enthusiast who wants to know more or network with other enthusiast
  3. Engineering and Computer Science professionals, practitioners, hobbyist, students and lecturers looking for ideas or someone to collaborate
  4. Members of the public in general who has interest on any of the above topics


EVENT STRUCTURE


The event consist of 2 tracks of major activities running in parallel throughout the day - ie. Talks and Hands-On Workshops. Attendees are required to register online for tickets to attend both. For Hands-On Workshop, limited seats are available (up to 20 pax only) to ensure attendees get attention and proper learning.



TICKETS AND CHARGES


Attendees are required to buy tickets online to attend the talks and hands-on workshops. There are NO FEES to be paid for both Talks and Hands-On Workshop. However for the Hands-On Workshop, it is MANDATORY for attendees to have Raspberry Pi and accessories. Attendees can choose to bring their own, or buy at a very special price (about 10% discounted) only available for the event. For those who choose to bring your own Raspberry Pi, please read section "Seat Priority For Workshops".



SEAT PRIORITY FOR WORKSHOPS


Attendees who purchased a ticket bundled with hardware (paid attendees) specifically for a titled workshop will be given first priority to occupy a seat. Attendees who brings their own hardware or had acquired the hardware from a previous workshop (non-paying attendees) on that day will be given second priority. This is to ensure those who paid gets a higher chance over those who did not or those who had already attended other workshop. Vacant seats will be allocated to non-paying attendees only after all paid attendees has completely occupied their seats.



LRT SHUTTLE & PARKING


There will be free shuttle bus service from Bukit Jalil LRT station to APU and vice-versa. Designated public parking area is right next to APU building.
