Smartly Seasoned is an event designed for food entrepreneurs looking for the secret sauce of success. Join us in a fireside chat on surviving and thriving in the industry with three local culinary maestros and lightly grill them during a Q+A session. Afterwards, take the opportunity to test your newest bites (or gulps?) on our speakers and audience members for some feedback. myBurgerLab will be providing some fuel for conversation in the shape of their lethally good burger minis.
Moderated by Wee Kiat Teoh, our inaugural Smartly Seasoned features Artisan Roast Coffee's Michael Wilson, Patrick Cheng of My Elephant and Li Kheng, formerly of Coffee Bean China where they'll share stories on their Thai-ring caffeine-fuelled climbs to the top.

Michael Wilson, Artisan Roast Coffee
Michael is the founder of Artisan Roast and three children. He is a full-time dad who dabbles in business as a passion. His latest projects are Seniman Kakao, bean to bar chocolate, and an interactive barista manual.
Patrick Cheng, myElephant
Patrick is the co-founder of the contemporary myElephant Thai restaurant. Started with 2 other friends back in 2007, myElephant has grown now to 6 locations and more. Being a dad of two, Patrick is still strongly dedicated to bringingaffordable Thai food to the community across Malaysia.
Li Kheng Phng, Coffee Bean China franchise
Li Kheng is the former CEO of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Franchise in China who grew to 35 outlets. Li Kheng is a dedicated, dynamic and driven woman who has had her fair share of experience in F&B. She is now working on her project, the Green Weekend Programme, at the Kechara Forest Retreat.
