Using Reflection and Imagination to Prioritise our Teaching Goals

Description

Using Reflection and Imagination to Prioritise our Teaching Goals

Facilitator: Dr Susan D'Aloia

Participants will develop awareness of their role as a teacher and claim the small and large practices essential to their current success in the classroom. In addition, participants will explore a flipped learning approach so to orient one of their courses. Some practices through case studies will be shared.

Outcomes:

1. Participants will reflect and examine their current roles as teachers as they individually and collectively recognise the most effective practices within their teaching load (interactions, communication, activities, etc.)

2. As decided by the participants, discern how the most important practices can be activated using Blackboard's iLEARN tools

3. Imagine a course orientation of one of your courses that uses a flipped learning approach
