TALK: Parenting Talk - The "Secret" to Effective Parenting
In today’s fast-paced world, juggling between work, family and personal time can be an overwhelming challenge. Parents are finding it increasingly difficult to engage and connect with their children. Using the simple metaphor of kite flying, this seminar seeks to help parents discover the “secret” to enjoyable and effective parenting. Parents will also learn about understanding the uniqueness of your child, helping your child fly, dual parenting a Stunt Kite, growing the Relationship Bank, mentoring your child and inculcating resilience in your child. Jim’s sharing will be peppered with anecdotes and real-life examples from his Social Work experience. Much of the content in this seminar will be based on the best-selling book written by Jim, entitled “The Kite Story – Perspectives on Parenting & Mentoring.” The book is now in its second print and will be translated into Chinese.
