About the Speaker:


Thomas Gorissen



Thomas' world is entrepreneurs and tech startups with everything involved. He's coming from a technology background and spent more than 16 years re-thinking, designing, building web applications and tasted all kinds of flavors of technology in various industries. He built products, teams and companies in Germany, the US, Panama and Singapore and am currently proudly mentoring at Asia's leading tech incubators and venture firms, such as JFDI, Jungle Ventures and Sequoia and is angeling in selected cases himself. He's the organizer of Southeast Asia's most influential web/mobile developer and design conferences for the 4th time: http://jsconf.asia and http://cssconf.asia. His specialty is UX design, web tech, development processes and culture. He has an affection for product development and evangelisation and sustainable progress.


Overview & Key Takeways:


The most important web technology you’ve never heard of. Thomas will give you a brief overview on the history of telecommunication, an introduction to WebRTC, what it is, can do and what you should expect. Thomas will demo a whole array of demos and examples before we can dig into code and have you participate in your first audio/video conference call that you coded yourself.

The participant should have very basic HTML/JS skills.
