SAFECAST CONFERENCE 2015

We’re excited to announce the 4th Anniversary of Safecast and the 1st Safecast Conference. This multiday event will begin on March 22nd in Tokyo for a series of talks, presentations, discussions, workshops and hackathons and wrap up on March 25th in Koriyama, Fukushima. Much of the event will have online components for participation from elsewhere.

伊藤 穰一

世界的なイノベーションの拠点MITメディアラボの所長にしてイン ターネット界の第一人者でもある伊藤穰一さんを迎え、朝日新聞『プ ロメテウスの罠』(20回シリーズ)に特集されたSAFECASTの活動と オープンデータや情報メディアの未来形をテーマに『福島の今』を熱く 語る! 伊藤 穰一 氏(認定NPO福島100年構想委員会 理事、SAFECAST顧問) 京都府生まれ。日本のべンチャーキャピタリスト、実業家。日本ではデジタルガレージほか 多数を起業。2011年9月にMITメディアラボ所長に就任。クリエイティブ・コモンズ議長、 Mozilla Foundationボードメンバー。ニューヨーク・タイムズ初の日本人取締役で、 SONYの社外取締役も務めている。またNHK Eテレで毎週水曜日に放送されている『スー パープレゼンテーション』のファシリテーターとしても活躍している。

Pieter Franken

SAFECAST JAPAN共同設立 者。オランダ出身のIT技術者で SAFECAST JAPANの共同設 立者。日本に来て21年。震災 の後、妻の実家の石巻を訪れた ことをきっかけに、活動を始め た。現在マネックス証券(常務 執行役員CTO担当)に勤務。

黒川 清

日本の医学者。内閣官房健康・医 療戦略室健康・医療戦略参与、特 定非営利活動法人日本医療政策機 構代表理事。日本学術会議会長 (第22・23代)、内閣特別顧問な どを歴任した。また東電福島原発 事故調査委員会(国会事故調)の委 員長も務め、その報告書の序文で 「朝河寛一」の言葉を引用している。

Ray Ozzie

早野 龍五

東京大学大学院理学系研究科教授。専門は、エキゾチック原子の分光による自然界の基本対称性の検証。反物質研究の成果2008年仁科記念賞。 2011年3月の東日本大震災以降、原発事故関連のtweetによりフォロアーが15万人に急増。学校給食のセシウム検査の提案、大規模なホールボディーカウンターによる内部被ばく状況の解明、幼児用の内部被ばく検査装置BABYSCANの開発、などで知られる。近著に糸井重里氏との共著「知ろうとすること。」がある。

Dr. Matthew McKinzie

Dr. Matthew McKinzie directs the Nuclear Program at the Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc. (NRDC) in Washington, DC (http://www.nrdc.org/nuclear). As a graduate student performing research at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Matthew first became interested in finding solutions to the problems posed by nuclear weapons and nuclear energy. Before joining NRDC, Matthew was a postdoctoral associate at the Peace Studies Program in the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies at Cornell University. In 2012-2013, Matthew served a sabbatical appointment at the U.S. Department of Defense in the office of the Director, Training Readiness and Strategy, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Readiness), and Matthew has also worked as consultant to the U.S. Air Force, Human Rights Watch, Harvard University and the Washington Post. Matthew holds a Ph.D. in experimental nuclear physics from the University of Pennsylvania.

William Dickson

William Dickson, (IO Rodeo co-founder) has been working on the circuit board design for the SafeCast Air prototype since November 2014. Will’s background is in developing custom open source hardware and software for biology research labs, mainly specializing in instruments used in insect behaviour research. Will previously worked at Caltech.

Joanne Long

Joanne Long, (IO Rodeo co-founder) is working with Will Dickson on the SafeCast Air prototype, mainly on project documentation. At IO Rodeo, Joanne works on developing open source hardware tools for science classrooms and labs. Prior to IO Rodeo, Joanne worked as a postdoctoral researcher at UCLA.

Karien Bezuidenhout

Karien Bezuidenhout is an advocate for openness and supporter of social entrepreneurs. She has played various roles within the Shuttleworth Foundation, currently focussing on the Fellowship Program - engaging with issues of openness and social change, identifying potential investments and working closely with Fellows towards realising their vision. Karien studied business and economics at the business schools of the University of Stellenbosch and University of Cape Town.

Nick Dolezal

Nick Dolezal is the Director of GIS Development for Safecast. He has developed the Safecast apps for iOS, OS X, and helped to realize the new Safecast web map. Nick has worked as a software developer in the private sector in Missoula, Montana, where he began developing the iOS app Geiger Bot in the wake of the Great East Japan earthquake of 2011. Nick is a graduate of the University of Montana.

石丸 偉丈

1972年神戸生まれ。早稲田大学第一文学部卒。 1996年に、障害を持つ連れ合いとの間に、同じ障害を持つ子を授かり、兼業主夫に。 フリースクールの主宰、Webサイト構築などの仕事を行う。 311以降、放射能対策活動に邁進し、2011年12月にこどもみらい測定所を開設し代表となる。 2013年より、全国各地の市民放射能測定室データを結合した「みんなのデータサイト」運営委員会事務局長。

渡邉 利一

認定NPO福島100年構想委員会　専務理事・SAFECASTメンバー 福島県生まれ。2011年11月福島の企業を中心としたＮＰＯ『福島100年構想委員会』を立ち上げる。また福島大学と連携した『食の安全・農業再生プロジェクト』や高校生を対象とした教育プログラムを展開している（一般社団法人）『ふくしま学びのネットワーク』の理事も兼務する。（株式会社アイ・エム・ディ　代表取締役社長。

小嶋 裕一

1982年生まれ。明治大学理工学部卒。日本映画学校卒。東日本大震災の直後からジャーナリスト・津田大介の下で原発担当記者を務める。著書に「チェルノブイリ・ダークツーリズム・ガイド思想地図β vol.4-1」（共著）「福島第一原発観光地化計画 思想地図β vol.4-2」（共著）。監督作品に津田大介の東北取材の模様を収めたドキュメンタリー『おくの細道2012』、『福島第一原発観光地化計画』メンバーによるチェルノブイリ取材ドキュメンタリー『19862011』。
