Are you interested in starting a company but wonder which idea is worth the effort and risk? Origin is built to answer that question. Here's how we do it.

Potential clients attend all Origin events, representing the target market. We start with them and their needs, not any pre-conceived ideas
based on assumptions and bias.

The event kicks off with a team of product, design, marketing and sales professionals interviewing someone who's an expert in their field - an educator, for the November 2014 edition - to discover a problem that can be solved with a good business idea.

Once they've determined the root of the problem, the rest of the event is spent creating a 'prototype' of the new business: A brand and its core values, a product or service to sell, a pricing strategy, a sales and marketing approach, even a financial forecast.

At the end of the event, the prototype company is pitched to the potential client for feedback and hopefully commitment to be Customer Number One.

What's next? Take the idea to even more potential clients, confirming that this product or service should exist. Get a green light here and you have the option to be one of the founders of the company!
