In the midst of a struggling economy, innovation has never been more important to businesses. In an effort to get ahead of their competition and remain relevant to their customers, companies are directing more money and resources towards the pursuit of the next big thing.
How exactly should we move in the pursuit of innovation? What are the steps that have proven to work? What are the considerations? Glen Francis, President of IDeationEdgeAsia, draws from his vast global experience and shares his thoughts about creating an innovative culture.
About Glen Francis:
Glen Francis is President of IDeationEdgeAsia, a community of C-level business leaders, who are industry and profession independent – passionate about fostering understanding of technology and trends that shapes business, environmental and societal changes in Asia, and facilitating collaboration of ideas that will make a difference to society.
Glen was also the CIO of GLP, He was responsible for IT across the group’s global operations. GLP is listed on the Singapore Exchange.
Prior to GLP, Glen was the Regional Head of IS, Asia Pacific for RS Components and was part of the Global IS executive management team representing the Asia Pacific Business. Glen was responsible for the engagement, governance, deployment and operations of all technology platforms and applications within the region.
Glen also worked at Aon as their Regional Director for Asia Pacific, leading the development of a newly formed corporate initiative called Revenue Engine. He has championed a number of transformational initiatives within the organization across different countries, functions and companies.
Special Segment: Dream Spotlight Speaker – Chris Chin
Chris Chin is a progressive Supply Chain Professional in various Industries like Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Electronics sectors. Being actively involved in the process innovation and improvement committee of Supply & Demand Planning, he also led the strategic and tactical operations of Hazardous Substances control, handling and storage. He advocates simplicity in processes to achieve better efficiency.
