Late last year, a good Singaporean used a Crowdfunding platform to return the life-savings of a Vietnamese tourist. On Facebook, we’ve seen aerial videos filmed by drones for commercials, amateur videos and even for our National Day Parade.
Technology has changed and influenced our lives in tremendous ways. What lies ahead for the future? What other technologies can impact our lives? Mohan, Founder of e27.co, shares his views and expertise on the power trends of the future, with special focus on an area close to our hearts – the Asia-Pacific.
The face of e27, Mohan Belani is the Co-Founder and Director of e27 at Optimatic Pte. Ltd., where he also runs Asia’s leading web technology event, Echelon. Apart from events, he runs all business development and strategic partnership related activities. Mohan Belani is the also the co-founder of Gokil Games, a startup focused on the social gaming industry. Mohan Belani is an avid fan of Skyrim and loves mountain climbing. He loves meeting new people, anytime anywhere.

What is a crowd-lending platform, how does it work and how can you get involved? Lawrence Yong from MoolahSense shares how you can leverage on the crowd to make unique and exciting investments or draw funds.
Lawrence is responsible for the strategic planning, overall management, and business development of MoolahSense. More than 12 years in the field, Lawrence had worked extensively in the financial services sector, acquiring a combination of front-to-back, buy- and sell-side experiences, particularly in the area of Fixed Income.
Lawrence spent the 1st half of his professional life in Wealth Management, with his last role heading an award-winning investment product team at Standard Chartered Bank. Before founding MoolahSense, Lawrence was a Vice President at Macquarie Capital where he was closely involved in developing its sales and structuring business at the Fixed Income division.
Lawrence first graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors from the National University of Singapore in 2002. He then completed his Masters of Financial Engineering from the same university in 2010. Lawrence also holds the designations of Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
