The Christmas Oratorio by Heinrich Schütz - December 6

Description
Musica Nuova and The Weckmann Project are pleased to present the Christmas Oratorio (Weihnachtshistorie) by Heinrich Schütz, the first New York performance of this Baroque masterwork in over a decade.

Jeffrey Grossman of The Sebastians will lead an esteemed ensemble including Parthenia: A Consort of Viols for two performances in the historic Zion German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brooklyn Heights.

Under the stage direction of Walker Lewis, the singers of Musica Nuova will dramatize the Christmas story with staging and movement that brings out the coziness, intimacy, theatre, and unexpected humor of the timeless tale.

Reserved seats enjoy the best views and acoustics in the church. Families with young children are encouraged to come to our afternoon concert the following day: Click here for tickets!

Note: If you prefer to reserve tickets now but pay at the door, please email info@musicanuova.org with your name, the number of guests, and what type of tickets you would like (reserved or general). We can accept cash or check at the door. Thank you!
