How world-class Brazilian multinationals have succeeded globally

Vale Japan K.K.; Vale Group, a Fortune Global 500 company

With more than 200 million people Brazil is the world's 5th largest country by population and by area—and the world's 7th largest economy. The country is also home to almost half of South America's 500 largest companies—many of which have become global players and are among the world's largest in their industries. There are now 8 Brazilian companies in the Fortune Global 500, including the Vale group.

Brazilian businesses continue expanding rapidly internationally—also in Japan—and in his presentation Marcos Turini will tell us about some of the key global Brazilian players, including his own company Vale, and the reasons for their success.

Marcos Turini is Managing Director of the Japan subsidiary of Vale, a Fortune Global 500 global mining company headquartered in Brazil—with annual sales of US$50 billion. He is also currently the President of the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Japan.



When: Thursday September 18, 2014 19:00-21:30. Doors open 18:30.
