INNOVATION FOR AN AGEING SOCIETY

Going for Silver: Opportunities in Japan's Graying Market

by William Hall

Japan has the fastest ageing population in world history—with around 25% aged 65 years or older. 22 million people—the size of Australia’s population—are more than 70 years old.

So how is Japan going to resolve the problems posed by this rapidly ageing society—and what business opportunties do they create? These are the questions William Hall will address in his presentation, drawing on his fountain of knowledge of the Japanese market. Expect surprising insights and a highly entertaining talk!

William Hall has spent most of his career in Japan—primarily in marketing and market research. He is also a founding member of the JMEC business training program—with the Australian New Zealand Chamber in Japan (ANZCCJ)—and a former ANZCCJ Chair. Author of Going for Silver: Opportunities in Japan’s Graying Market, and a TEDxTokyo speaker.
