Hula Hoop Mega-Class (2 Hours)
Whether you are just starting out or have been hooping a while, join Tink for a fun and frisky 2 hour hoop class that combines circus fitness drills, hoop dance moves, and partner coordination.
We'll start with a stretching warm up and waist hoop conditioning. Then we'll challenge our body coordination with circus drills that have us hooping from head to toe (or very nearly).
After a short break, we'll work on some hoop dance movements, focussing on moving to the beat of the music. New hoopers will pick up a lot of interesting tricks; intermediate hoopers will get to combine what they know in new ways.
Then we'll dance together as a group to this year's WHD Dance choreography. Finally, we'll be doing the hoop version of Algorithm March, a Japanese classic kids show dance. Prepare to be coordinated!
HOW TO JOIN
Only 2,000 yen for this special 2 hour workshop! 10 places available. ADVANCE PURCHASE REQUIRED. Ticket sales close 24 hours before the workshop. Hoops are provided for class.
There are locker rooms on B1 for changing and bathrooms around the corner from our room. Vending machines offer water and other drinks; there is a water fountain.
We will be in the Kendo room on the second floor. Enter the building, remove your shoes and stow them in the shoe cupboard. The kendo room is up the staircase just off the lobby area; you'll probably hear our music playing.
WHAT TO BRING
Comfortable clothes for moving in; yoga or sweat pants, shorts, t-shirt, etc.. Our space has a wooden floor, so you can wear indoor shoes, sock, or go barefoot as you prefer. A towel and water are always smart;there are vending machines for drinks.
If you have favorite hula hoops, you are welcome to bring them.
