The Kitakyushu area is proud to announce its own sustainability conference. If you are a student, or if you are interested in what it will take to build a more sustainable communities, you are invited to participate. This year’s theme is Community. First, we will hear from keynote speakers who will talk about community empowerment.Then, we will have an interesting discussion about resource sharing, aging society, and other things that are necessary for making a sustainable society.
When: May 17th and 18th, 2014 (Saturday and Sunday)
Where: The Kitakyushu Innovation Gallery, Higashida Ward, Kitakyushu, Japan

Other events: Welcome Dinner (￥800), Optional tour (￥2000 for students, ￥2500 for others)
Accommodation: ￥3500/night (includes meals), available at JICA Kyushu. Click here for details. Available rooms are limited. Please reserve by April 25th.
Please provide your own transportation costs to the venue.
Payment is possible by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, Amex), PayPal, and at most convenience stores. If you pay at the convenience store, please pay at least one week in advance if you want to join the Welcome Dinner. If you plan to stay at JICA, your reservation will be confirmed upon payment, so please do so as soon as possible.

北九州で、サスティナビリティ国際会議が開催できることを、大変誇らしく思います。
今年のテーマは「コミュニティ」。コミュニティづくりに関する基調講演につづき、「地域資源の共有」や「高齢化社会」について、海外からの参加者と一緒にディスカッションをします。その他にも、サスティナブルな社会を考えるための色んなイベントがございます。
学生の方々、そして持続可能なコミュニティづくりに関心のある一般の方々のご参加を、スタッフ一同、心よりお待ちしております。

ただし宿泊（前泊・当日・後泊）には実費必要です。
