This workshop gives you an overview of how websites and web applications work.

You will get an introduction to the world of coding, and hands-on experience in building your first website!


What you'll learn:

  • Understand how web applications work and learn the differences between websites and web apps.
  • Learn how to build you own website using HTML and CSS.
  • Learn how to make your website live with Github Pages.
  • Have a taste of what real web development is like!

This workshop is perfect for absolute beginners who wish to learn more about coding, how websites work and how to make their own websites.

What do I need to prepare?

1) You have to bring your own laptop (Windows or Mac is fine. Must be able to use wifi)

2) You need to have atom text editor (https://atom.io) installed. (Install here)

3) Before the workshop, signup for a free account on https://github.com
