Pocket Talks on Government Grants and Business Funding for Malaysia Companies
As the Chinese saying goes "supply goes before troops"， lack of capital stands out as one of the main bottlenecks to SME growth. Most SMEs quoted that insufficient funds to finance working capital or business expansion plan is the main reason that hampers SME growth and progress.
Despite government’s effort in implementing various support mechanisms and initiatives to aid the development and growth of SMEs, many business owners find it challenging to obtain grants and funding facilities from government lending institutions/Development Financial Institutions (DFIs).
Smart Borrowers’ Organisation of Malaysia (SBOM)** has never doubt the sincerity of government to help the SMEs with grants and funding. Yet, there are still many SMEs that did not enjoy the benefits provided by the government due to lack of knowledge about grants/funding application procedure.
SBOM aims to bridge the gap between the SMEs and Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) in Malaysia. SBOM will be organizing Pocket Talks to invite representatives from various DFIs to provide updates on government schemes and guide SMEs to apply government grants and funding mechanisms. If this kind of talk is to be organized by private training providers, the minimum charges will be minimum RM1000 and the program may not be as complete as we are. As a non-profit and non-governmental organization, SBOM’s Pocket Talks will be providing the talk for RM80 (early bird price before 31st July 2017) and RM120 (normal price).
The focus of the Pocket Talks will be discussed on:-
1. Various government grants and financial schemes available for enterprises and its eligibility criteria to apply.
2. Application procedures of government grants and financial schemes.
3. To determine the appropriate government grants and financial schemes to match with the current business nature and future expansion plan of the enterprises.
