PechaKucha (ペチャクチャ), literally chit-chat in Japanese is a presentation style in which 20 slides of still photos are shown for 20 seconds each, devised in February 2003 by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Tokyo's Klein-Dytham Architecture (KDa). The format, which keeps presentations casual, concise and exhilarating powers multiple-speaker events called PechaKucha Nights (PKNs). Today, PKNs are held in nearly 1000 cities worldwide, with 10,000 PKNs been held and now we are in Penang!

Our presenters line-up for the inaugural PechaKucha Night Penang are familiar faces in Penang's design, art, food and cultural scenes, each championing their areas of expertise. While it's impossible to reduce these multi-talented individuals to a few catch phrases, here's what to look forward to.

Admission

The standard ticket gets you:

• Venue entrance per person.
• One (1) single-course meal of your choice.

Door opens and meals served at 7.30 p.m.. Presentation starts at 8.20. Adjourn at 10.

As dining space is fairly intimate, you are encouraged to arrive early. Included in your standard entrance fee is a meal of your choice out of the following three options by the chefs at Thor's Affair. Please make your selection upon check out.

Option 1. Orange Glazed Chicken

Sous-vide Chicken Breast with Orange Cream Sauce served with Mashed Potato & Grilled Vegetables.

Option 2. Pink Lady (Vegetarian's choice)

Spaghettini, Aubergine, Heirloom Cherry Tomato, Mozzarella Cheese, Light Tomato and Cream Sauce.

Option 3: Personal Seafood Wrap

Clams, Prawns, Mussel, Fish Fillet, Squid, Seasonal Vegetables, Potato, Italian Parsley with Mixed Herbs & White Wine.
