Students with Special Needs – Awareness Talk

Students with Special Needs – Awareness Talk

Facilitator: Faridah Ali Chang (Rainbow Training Centre & Consultancy)

Persons with special needs will have their unique characteristics and behaviours that may often be misunderstood by others beyond their family members and people familiar to them.

The interactive talk will provide a brief overview of common disabilities of persons with special needs – including anxiety disorder, depression, eating disorder, bi-polar disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Learning Disability (LD) or psychiatric disorder.

This awareness will provide the participants with some insights into how to better understand the characteristics of students who may have special needs in a mainstream tertiary institution.
