It’s an online money transfer platform headquartered in London and with offices around the world including in Singapore. TransferWise has over a million customers, sending 1 Billion USD a month, supporting 645 currency "routes" across the world.

About Taavet Hinrikus

Taavet is co-founder and CEO of TransferWise. Prior to starting TransferWise, Taavet was Skype’s director of strategy until 2008, starting as its first-ever employee. One of the World Economic Forum's Tech Pioneers, Taavet is an adviser to the Prime Minister of Estonia on the digital agenda and a member of the European Innovation Council's High Level Group (HLG) of Innovators. He’s also a mentor and angel investor; his investments include Tweetdeck, Mendeley, OMGPOP, Property Partner, Sunrise, Improbable and Mapillary.




About Joachim Vandaele

Joachim is the Managing Director of The Hub Singapore, where he oversees the overall strategy, funding, resource allocation, people management and operations.

Joachim has been building businesses for 2 decades in the technology, financial services, family office, and media space. He is a Board Member and the former CEO of Trusted Family, a global business providing technology and advisory solutions for cohesion within Business Owning Families.

Joachim holds a Masters in Commercial and Investment Sciences from HUBrussels; a Masters in Banking and Finance from Ghent University. In 2010 he obtained an MBA from INSEAD.
