Seven Days Without Laughter Makes One Weak

We are looking for ambitious and passionate artists to embark on a new and innovative professional journey. They have the unique opportunity to be part of the first batch of professionally trained medical clowns, Clown Doctors Singapore, in all South East Asia.

A serious illness, a lengthy hospital stay or even painful therapy can cause confusion, fear and great stress, inhibiting the healing process. This is where the Clown Doctors step in with all their artistic skills to encourage laughter, a natural trigger to boost the immune system and inject some fun and cheer into children’s wards.

Worldwide research shows there’s a direct connection between humour and health, proving there is truth in the phrase “laughter is the best medicine”. The Clown Doctors are aware of cultural diversities and always retains his professional integrity, regardless of illness, age, gender, ethnic heritage, religious affiliation, tradition of the patient, their family member and the visitors.

Clown Doctors Singapore is now looking for actors and performing artists advanced in improvisational theatre, music, dance, singing and puppetry. These creative skills must be combined with equally important qualities such as maturity, life experience, compassion and sensitivity.
